Activity DescriptionRead and analyze chapters in the Ovando, et al. text, and several class videos, and personally reflect on: 1. The three most important points of the chapter/video 2. Opinions on each of the three points 3. How information will be used from what was learned Students will then post 2 open-ended questions about the reading/videos and solicit opinions from other classmates.

Read, summarize, and critically analyze three articles on one of the following topics: Instructional Models for ELLs, Cultural Awareness and Adjustment, Second Language Acquisition, ESOL Methods, Lesson Plan Modification for ELLs, Teaching Content (Math, Science, Social Studies) to ELLs, Assessing ELLs???in content and language instruction, Historical and Legal Foundations of the Education of ELLs, Bilingual Education, Special Education and ELLs, Involving ELL Communities and Families with the Schools focusing explicitly on English language learners, second language acquisition, or ESOL.
