Activity Objective | To clearly and accurately describe elements of four different strategies for teaching English Language Learners, and to demonstrate these concepts to classmates. |
Activity Description | 1. Students will select 4 strategies from the Fifty Strategies for Teaching English Language Learners book, and prepare one descriptive handout for each of the 4 strategies selected. The handout will include a rationale for why the strategy is appropriate for ELLs, at which level, and for what purpose. 2. Students will then present strategies to class and give a 10 minute demonstration for one of the strategies selected using visual aids. |
